The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) works to build better policies for better lives with the aim of shaping policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being.
Bi-annually, the OECD and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies publish in cooperation with the European Commission, a series of country health profiles as a part of the State of Health in the EU initiative, which aims to improve country-specific and EU-wide knowledge within the field of health, thus promoting learning and exchange.
This is the second time that Phoenix Design Aid has had the pleasure of developing the design and layout for the series, which entail the creation of profiles for all 29 member states and close to 600 unique and semi-standard data graphs. For the sake of clear comparison, it was important to maintain consistency in the featured data across the different country profiles while also highlighting the characteristics and challenges that are unique to each country.
Each profile was produced in English and its respective native language, resulting in our designers working with the typesetting of 29 different languages for this project. As often required for reporting projects, the work was performed under a short and tight-managed production timeline.
