Phoenix Design Aid represented in SDG section in COP24 Magazine
Phoenix Design Aid is proud to announce its contribution to the COP24-publication “Climate Change – The New Economy”, the official magazine of the UN COP24 summit, taking place on December 2 to 14, 2018 in Katowice.
In the COP24-publication, contributions from a variety of great minds, representing governments, NGOs, and businesses are gathered. The many articles in the magazine present best practice and new ways of minimizing the challenges brought to us due to climate change.
In the section ‘Sustainable Development Goals’, you will find Phoenix Design Aid’s advocacy. The placement of the article is right in line with the belief that young people hold the key to sustainable development which the PDAid Foundation builds its efforts on. In pages 68-69 in the online version of the UN COP24 magazine, you can take a look at Phoenix Design Aid’s article covering importance of partnerships in terms of moving forward in the work with PDAid Foundation.
The article titled “Moving forward through purposeful partnerships” tells the story of how taking advantages of synergies between Foundations with similar objectives create great results. In particular, it zooms in on the project of creating the a documentary Film about how Sauti Kuu teaches children and young people in rural Kenya how to be self-reliant by farming and working the land, incorporating traditional knowledge and farming skills to educate and inform of the many possibilities using locally available resources.
In Phoenix Design Aid’s sustainability report, you will find more information about our approach to the UN SDGs.
