As a part of the “The Global State of Democracy 2021: Building Resilience in a Pandemic Era” report project for the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), Phoenix Design delivered an online version and website of the bi-annual report.
The website is designed and developed to be the one-stop shop for all the content of the Global State of Democracy (GSoD) programme, including its flagship report (the GSoD Report) as well as add-on publications to the GSoD Report and other publications.
The website will also serve as a gateway to two existing sites of the programme; the GSoDI website and Global monitor.
The main aim was to present the 2021 report in a visually engaging way with a quick overview of the key messages and statistics from the figures and infographics with the possibility to access and download the report as well as provide a space for users to fund additional information on the reports, background papers and case studies.
The website design is based on existing GSoD brand guidelines and is reflected within both the report and website. The website is built in one language (English), using Drupal 9 CMS. Alongside the handover of the website and source code, Phoenix Design Aid held a training session with International IDEA.
