Description

Central America and Mexico represent one of the most important migratory corridors around the world. Recent years have been characterized by great variations in the composition of migratory flows, motivation and profiles of migrants, as well as in migratory routes in the region, which makes the migratory phenomenon increasingly dynamic and complex.

In 2020, the “Piénsalo dos Veces” campaign (which translates to “Think twice”) was implemented in the countries of North Central America with the aim of helping young people learn to recognize false offers or information related to human trafficking, smuggling of migrants and other fraud that increased in the context of the COVID-19 crisis.

During 2021, the International Organization for Migration IOM continued to develop this campaign in Panama specifically in the community of La Chorrera.

The art direction of this project included the campaign’s creative concept, key visuals and messages, which involved an analysis to develop the storytelling though a participative process that was made through two validation workshops with the target audiences. The participants were part of the process throughout the whole project.

Phoenix Design Aid also designed various promotional items such as t-shirts, caps, tote bags and folders. The project also involved the production of three 2D animated videos and two radio spots.
