SCALE is a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)-led initiative that supports key population-led efforts to remove punitive and discriminatory laws that hinder access to HIV services. Working in partnership with the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) the Global Fund and other joint programmes, SCALE aims to help countries reach the historic 10-10-10 HIV targets by 2025 which are centered around reducing legal and policy barriers to HIV prevention, treatment, and care.
Phoenix Design Aid developed an interactive digital platform for the UNDP SCALE Initiative, designed to highlight impactful case studies and successful advocacy efforts by key population groups working to reform discriminatory laws and policies related to HIV.
The platform features a user-friendly submission system, allowing contributors to upload their experiences with optional photo and video attachments. A robust approval workflow enables administrators to review and manage content before publication.
Additionally, we integrated a dynamic 3D world map, which visually represents case locations by country. The map includes an intuitive filtering system to enhance navigation and accessibility, ensuring a seamless user experience.
