The United Nations (UN) Environment Programme facilitates One Planet network, a global community that works to implement the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production and works towards achieving SDG 12.
Phoenix Design Aid had the great pleasure of helping One Planet network with an upgrade and refresh of their website. The upgrade and refresh included a new content structure as well as redesign of existing and new elements. An important element of the development phase was to improve the user experience (UX) to help attract, engage and retain current and future users. Phoenix Design Aid also composed a new look and feel for the website, supporting the UX design as well as information architecture.
Additionally, the website features a significant technical integration with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database of UNEP and One Planet network. The Drupal One Planet network website is built on top of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM database, and is integrated via API connection to both read content from the database to display on the Drupal website frontend, as well to write content from the Drupal website to the CRM database.
On a daily basis, the website pulls thousands of data and information to the website, and it has been Phoenix Design Aid’s responsibility to ensure that all data, pulled from the CRM, is reflected and visualized correctly on the website.
After the completion of the main project, Phoenix Design Aid has hosted and maintained the server and software as well as supported further development to improve the One Planet network website as well as the SDG12 Hub.
