Description

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) engages with critical issues in democracy, governance and elections around the world. From programming aimed at ensuring electoral integrity and accountability to efforts to empower underrepresented populations, such as persons with disabilities, women and youth, to participation in electoral and political processes, IFES works to provide citizens around the world with the fundamental human right to have a say in how they are governed.

For the 35th Anniversary of IFES’ establishing, Phoenix Design Aid was tasked with scripting, storyboarding, producing and editing a compelling video that would capture a high-profile audience made up of various stakeholders at a Gala Event in Washington DC. The project involved meeting a unique set of criteria to ensure all stakeholders were included and/or represented. The Phoenix Team successfully achieved this by developing a video that combined animation, with zoom-captured interviews, as well as internal and stock footage. Despite short time constraints and the technical limitations of interviewees around the globe, we achieved successful results capturing IFES’ history, purpose, stakeholder participation, The video was presented in English and subtitled in 4 languages (Arabic, French, Spanish and Russian).
