Description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) established the Green Commodities Programme (GCP) in 2009. As a part of the programme of activities for 2021-2022, the GCC has designed and organized a series of remote learning events on topics of interest to practitioners along different thematic streams such as: multi-stakeholder collaborative action, integrated land management, gender mainstreaming, systems change, private sector engagement, sustainable landscapes and jurisdictional approaches, evidence of effectiveness and impact.

In this occasion, the UNDP’s GCP and the Global Coffee Platform have been facilitating the International Coffee Organization (ICO) Technical Workstream number 3, named ‘Sector Transformation in Coffee Exporting Countries’, which is made up of six interactive sessions.

Phoenix Design Aid was requested to provide simultaneous interpretation with two interpreters from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English for nine GCP virtual workshops between September 2021 – 30 June 2022. One of the nine virtual workshops also required interpretation from Portuguese to Spanish and English. Phoenix Design Aid organized and scheduled the required interpreters according to the date, time and duration and followed up on their preparation with supporting material for each event.

In addition to the GCP workshops, simultaneous interpretation from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English for four International Coffee Organization virtual sessions was also included.
