Description

At the Conference of the Parties (COP) 15 in 2009, USD 100 billion a year was pledged to the developing countries to help support climate change adaptation and mitigation activities by 2020. By 2021, this pledge was still to be fulfilled. Thus, climate finance was one of the main negotiations and discussions at the COP26 in Glasgow in 2021.

To inform the discussions at the COP26, the UNFCCC Standing Committee on Finance published the Fourth (2020) Biennial Assessment and Overview of Climate Finance Flows (BA) and the First report on the determination of the needs of developing country Parties related to implementing the Convention and the Paris Agreement (NDR).

Phoenix Design Aid supported UNFCCC with the graphic design and book layout of the two academic publications. The objective was to aid the reader in digesting the loaded content through a clear structure and recognizable patterns. The designers worked closely with the UNFCCC staff to develop functional data visualizations and engaging featured insights. In addition to the publications, Phoenix Design Aid also provided summary reports for policy makers and interactive versions of key infographics to support the web stories on the topic.
