Financial Inclusion for Smallholder Farmers in Africa Project (FISFAP) is a five-year project implemented by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and funded by the Mastercard Foundation. The project aims to improve the productivity and incomes of 728,000 smallholder farmers in Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania through the provision of innovative solutions that facilitate access to financial and non-financial services for smallholder farmers and agri-SMEs.
AGRA thus came to Phoenix Design Aid to help capture a series of portraits and images documenting the program in action in both Kenya and Tanzania, especially to capture the ways in which technology-related initiatives are changing the way smallholder farmers do business. These assets were produced with the intent of visually engaging an external audience of African leaders, ministers, policy makers, farmers, private agribusiness firms, financial institutions, NGOs, civil society, scientists and other stakeholders.
