Strategic social media advisory and content, including ongoing strategic guidance and training, weekly calendar review, selected post drafting and visual asset development, strategic recommendations for new content, podcast advisory, paid social media support and the development of a social media toolkit.
Improved content relevance and strategic coherence through continuous performance assessment and weekly optimization, refreshed and strengthened campaign assets, increased engagement of the #3xRenewables campaign across social platforms, and sustained momentum through and beyond COP30, supported by data-driven recommendations and targeted content guidance.
As part of IRENA’s communication efforts to accelerate the global energy transition and advance the #3xRenewables campaign, Phoenix Design Aid provided strategic social media advisory and content support focused on optimisation, stakeholder activation and sustained momentum around COP30.
The assignment included ongoing strategic guidance on social media activities, ensuring continuous alignment with IRENA’s priorities and campaign objectives. Strategic recommendations and trainings were provided for the creation of new content and visual assets whenever suitable, responding to emerging communication needs.
In parallel, Phoenix Design Aid supported IRENA’s paid social media campaigns as well as the development of a podcast format, offering strategic guidance on content direction, thematic coherence and amplification opportunities to reinforce campaign messaging.
Throughout 2025 and early 2026, strategic feedback was delivered on a weekly basis on the social media calendar, ensuring content relevance, consistency and alignment with key milestones. Additionally, selected post drafting and visual asset development were carried out on demand throughout the duration of the assignment, adapting content and formats to platform-specific requirements and evolving communication priorities.
Through this approach, IRENA’s social media presence was strengthened in terms of strategic coherence, stakeholder engagement and readiness for global climate and energy milestones.
